We, Erik Storck and Trevor Moore, are campaigning for the 2012 Olympic Games in the 49er class. Competing in the Olympics has been a lifelong-dream that both of us have shared since we first began sailing. Now that we have the opportunity to fulfill this dream, it is important that we take the right approach and develop a comprehensive program sufficient to accomplish our goal. A successful Olympic Campaign requires an enormous amount of time, commitment, money and support. Acknowledging the fact that we are currently in a financially difficult time, we would like to insist that any amount of money or air miles donated is truly appreciated and will prove essential to our success. We already are and will continue to be forever indebted to all our family and friends who have made this all possible. All donations to our campaign are tax-deductible and can be made through the Sailing Foundation of New York. We want you to share in our experiences on our way to London in 2012. Our greatest needs are travel, equipment, regatta fees and coaching costs.

What About Corporate Sponsorship?

     The 49er high-performance dinghy and the Olympic-aspiring athlete are tremendous platforms for advertising a broad range of products. We intend to run a high-profile campaign, visiting many cities and states in the U.S., plus countless countries abroad for training and competition. A 49er skipping across the water is truly beautiful and eye-catching for all, not only the avid sailor. We have large areas available for sponsorship marking on the hull, sails, and on clothing. Of course you will also be a central tenet of our website. Levels of sponsorship are as follows:
  • Team Sponsor
    • Full-budget sponsorship; we will rename the team to carry the name of your company. This will go on any registration we submit to appear in results or in any press we receive. Your name will appear on the hull, spinnaker, and mainsail, as well as on all team apparel. We will make up to three speaking engagements and/or appearances per year that we deem appropriate and you see fit for advertising or in-company purposes.
  • Spinnaker Sponsor
    • $30,000 per annum; your company name will appear on our spinnaker. You will choose the color of the spinnaker and the design for the sail.
  • Mainsail Sponsor
    • Upper: $20,000 per annum
    • Mid: $10,000 per annum
    • Lower: $5,000 per annum
  • Hull Sponsor
    • Full Side: $20,000 per annum
    • Transom: $5,000 per annum
  • Equipment Sponsor
    • For equipment sponsorship, we will negotiate terms per deal.
